Your Privacy Is Important to Us
In the Whole Life Challenge, our intention is to respect your privacy in exactly the way you wish. To that end, we make various privacy controls available to you, which are detailed here. Since the Challenge is a community-based event and is made more powerful, effective, and beneficial through interaction with others, we encourage you to participate in the community as fully as you are comfortable with.
What Can Other Players See?
Generally, players can see your avatar, chosen display name, Challenge level, daily scores, team or teams you are on, and your daily average and total scores. The public view is shown below, with highlights for clarity.
How Do I Change The Name Others See?
We encourage friends to connect during the Challenge, so we include a Player Search function on your Game Dashboard. The search is based on the name used in our system. Your display name can be changed at any time without changing your email or login credentials. Visit MY PROFILE -> GAME SETTINGS. The name field must contain at least 2 non-space characters separated by a space. Click EDIT to make changes, then click SAVE when you're done.

How Do I View or Change My Privacy Settings?
By default, some information in your profile is public and some is private. To see what is visible publicly or to make changes, visit MY PROFILE -> PRIVACY AND NOTIFICATION SETTINGS from your Game Dashboard. Here is a screenshot for reference:
Follow the numbers to reach your PRIVACY SETTINGS and to make and SAVE changes. Any checked items may be visible to others. To make a selection private, please un-check the box next to it before clicking the SAVE button.
Who Can View My Weight and Measurements?
If set to private, only you and, if specified as part of your official team information, your official team captain.
Who Can See My Before and After Photo?
When your before and after photos are set to private, only you will be able to view them and only when you are logged in. Before and after photo opportunities are provided so you can compare and see what physical changes may have occurred during the Challenge.
Often, important changes are not well represented by scale weight or even measurements but are clearly evident in a photo. Your skin, for example, might be more vibrant, you might look (and be!) happier, or you might have made changes to your appearance out of pride in self-care.
Who Can Read My Reflections?
You can set your reflections to either appear or not appear on the World Feed in your PRIVACY SETTINGS, as detailed above. Teammates on your team(s) will still be able to see your reflections, even if you set them to not appear on the World Feed. Please keep this in mind when writing about your experiences in the Challenge.
We suggest that personal or private thoughts you would like to keep private only to yourself be recorded offline for greatest security. For additional guidance on what you might reflect about, please visit our Reflections help article.
What Can My Team Captain See?
The answer depends on whether your team is an official or unofficial team. You can be on both, so both of these possibilities may apply to you at the same time.
If you are on an unofficial team, your captain can see exactly what you've allowed any other player in the Challenge to see based on your PRIVACY SETTINGS and as detailed above in the What Can Other Players See? section. Remember that your team captain is also a member of your team, so will be able to read your reflections as long as you remain on the team.
If you are on an official team, often the case when you sign up through your workplace or your gym, your team captain's job is much bigger. If there will be a leaderboard created for the team, one fitness measurement and one body measurement will be recorded and visible to your team captain.
